Mrs. Herook - Third Grade Challenge Club (This page is a work in progress)

What is the Challenge Club?

Challenge Club is for any student who would like to go above and beyond expectations in their learning experience. There are several categories and 85 questions that students can research and answer. You can pick questions of your choice, research it, and then use the answer template to write the answer down. Mrs. Herook will check answers and mark a star on your Challenge Club member card. You become a member by answering just "1" question. This idea was developed by Heather Renz, a 4th grade teacher from Oregon and has been adapted to our class and grade level. Thank you Mrs. Renz for sharing this great idea.

How do I answer the questions?

I will only accept answers on the Challenge Club answer sheet or printouts of online activity results. You must write legibly. Answers not submitted on the club sheet (even those done orally, must be on this sheet) will not be accepted.

When can I answer questions?

Questions may be answered before school, at recess, or after school. Questions may be researched in your spare time, or at home.

Who can be part of the Challenge Club?

Anyone in Mrs. Herook's class can take part in the challenge. Keep your questions and answer sheet in your homework folder so you can always pull it out.

What happens when I answer these questions?

21 Questions: Bronze Level Members will receive a special pencil.
42 Questions: Silver Level Members will receive a homework pass.
73 Questions: Gold Level Members will receive a homework pass, and an item from the prize box.
85 Questions: Platinum Level Members will receive the Gold Level prizes, a certificate and a special award.
